Nutrition for Older Kids and Families

Support to help kids and families build practical nutrition skills while developing a healthy, flexible relationship with food.

Work 1:1 with a PhD-trained dietitian. Most visits are covered by insurance.

You’re in the right place if…

  • Family meals feel like a battle (or you’re constantly making separate foods)

  • You’re worried your child isn’t eating enough or getting the nutrients they need

  • You or your doctor is worried about your child’s weight, but you don’t want to increase their risk for eating disorders or body shame

  • Your teen athlete wants to eat to be the best they can be

  • You want to be the best role model you can be for your child’s health

Everything we do is tailored to your child and your family - no rigid meal plans or unrealistic expectations.

Megan Bragg, a prenatal dietitian, PhD in Nutrition, and mom of 2

Why work with me

You deserve advice that’s both trustworthy and doable.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and have a PhD in Nutritional Biology, which means I’m trained to understand and interpret research - not just repeat general guidelines. But more importantly, I translate that science into real-life strategies that work when you’re tired, busy, or feeling sick.

I’m also a mom of two, and I’ve used the techniques and suggestions I give clients while feeding my own children. I focus on reducing pressure on parents and children to allow for adventurous, enjoyable eating.

My approach is:

  • Evidence-based (without being overwhelming)

  • Practical and flexible

  • Non-judgmental and supportive

Using your insurance

Most visits are covered by insurance.

  • I’ll verify your benefits for you before your first visit

  • Many clients pay $0 out of pocket

  • Virtual sessions are available across PA, NJ, and DE

You don’t have to figure this out on your own—I’ll walk you through it.

What it’s like to work together

Getting support is simpler than you might expect:

1. Schedule your appointment
Choose a time that works for you (virtual or in-person)

We’ll talk through what’s going on and what feels hardest right now

4. Ongoing support
How long and how often we meet is up to you, your goals, and your availability

What you can expect

  • Simple, consistent strategies that actually work over time

  • More confidence in how you’re feeding your child

  • Gradual progress toward healthy habits for the whole family
