Nutrition for Picky Eating

Less stress, fewer food battles, and more clarity at meals

Support for picky eating that’s realistic, evidence-based, and tailored to your family so mealtimes feel less stressful and more predictable.

Work 1:1 with a PhD-trained dietitian. Most visits are covered by insurance.

You’re in the right place if…

  • Your toddler only eats a handful of foods and refuses everything else

  • Meals feel like a battle (or you’re constantly making separate foods)

  • You’re worried your child isn’t eating enough or getting the nutrients they need

  • You’re not sure how to respond to food refusals, snacks, or constant requests for the same foods

  • You’ve tried different strategies but nothing seems to stick

If you’re feeling frustrated, worried, or just tired of thinking about food all the time - you’re not alone. Picky eating is common, but that doesn’t mean you have to just “wait it out.”

What I help with

Picky eating isn’t about forcing kids to eat more. It’s about creating the right structure and environment so they learn to eat over time.

Common areas we work on:

  • Expanding food variety (without pressure or power struggles)

  • Structuring meals and snacks so kids come to the table ready to eat

  • Reducing grazing and reliance on “safe foods”

  • Responding to food refusals in a calm, consistent way

  • Supporting adequate nutrition, even in a picky phase

  • Navigating transitions (starting daycare, new routines, sibling dynamics)

Everything we do is tailored to your child and your family - no rigid meal plans or unrealistic expectations.

Why work with me

You deserve advice that’s both trustworthy and doable.

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and have a PhD in Nutritional Biology, which means I’m trained to understand and interpret research - not just repeat general guidelines. But more importantly, I translate that science into real-life strategies that work when you’re tired, busy, or feeling sick.

I’m also a mom of two, and I’ve used the techniques and suggestions I give clients while feeding my own children. I focus on reducing pressure on parents and children to allow for adventurous, enjoyable eating.

My approach is:

  • Evidence-based (without being overwhelming)

  • Practical and flexible

  • Non-judgmental and supportive

Using your insurance

Most visits are covered by insurance.

  • I’ll verify your benefits for you before your first visit

  • Many clients pay $0 out of pocket

  • Virtual sessions are available across PA, NJ, and DE

You don’t have to figure this out on your own—I’ll walk you through it.

What it’s like to work together

Getting support is simpler than you might expect:

1. Schedule your appointment
Choose a time that works for you (virtual or in-person)

2. I’ll check your insurance
You’ll know what’s covered before we meet

3. Meet 1:1
We’ll talk through what’s going on and what feels hardest right now

4. Leave with a clear, realistic plan
No rigid meal plans—just guidance you can actually follow

What you can expect

  • Less stress and fewer power struggles at meals

  • Simple, consistent strategies that actually work over time

  • More confidence in how you’re feeding your child

  • Gradual progress toward more variety and flexibility with food

Looking ahead

With the right approach, most kids expand their variety and become more comfortable with new foods over time. And as your child grows, we can continue adjusting your approach so mealtimes stay as low-stress and positive as possible.
